Imma Fan

By February 19, 2018BlogPost

I’m a fan of rap and some particular tv shows. Occasionally I would have discussions with other people about our common interest, like at what time was our favorite rapper in their prime or we’d call back to our favorite moments or funniest parts in tv shows such as Atlanta, Game of Thrones, Rick & Morty, South Park, etc. Although what I usually do the most is research. I would be on a mission trying to find out as much information on the tv show or my favorite artist.

For an example, I would contently search for any news of new music coming out by Travis Scott. Now I never go on message boards or chat rooms because those are really annoying. I try to find some news from janky websites and they actually help a lot. They would usually post anonymous videos of the artist, i.e. Travis Scott, claiming that he’s about to drop something soon. I have a love, hate relationship with this. At first, I’m excited to finally see they’ve been working on a new project and it’s about to drop relatively soon but at the same time, I now have to wait for who knows how long until that album drops.

I do the same exact thing for tv shows, I look around the web trying to find interviews of the creator(s) of the show and trying to look for any clues of what is going to happen in the next season. On occasions, I check out past tv shows or whatever production the creator(s) were apart of before the making of their current show that I love. For an example, South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Park first production of South Park was a short homemade cartoon Christmas card that was sent to their friends and family. It eventually found its way to a person working in Hollywood and before they knew it, they were signing a contract with Comedy Central.
