I love twitter. It has to be one of the greatest social media apps to ever be invented. At first, I hated social media. I could not stand Facebook, Instagram, or even Twitter at one point. The reason was that all the posts that would pop up on my feed would be the most annoying comments from people that were considered my “friends”. They were either boasting about some vacation they went on or they wrote bitchy passive aggressive comments. Not to mention they would post really depressing videos like lost puppies. That’s what I had to deal with until Twitter got really popular and I stopped following all those losers and started replacing them with hilarious famous people.
It is seriously crazy how funny people can be with just 240 characters to work with. For that reason, Twitter is now starting to become one of my major sources of entertainment. It has even changed the relationship between multimillion dollar companies with their customers. What’s even better is following my favorite artist or tv show creators. That’s because Twitter allows an artist to let the public know or give them little hints of when they are dropping a huge project/mixtape. It’s official Twitter is the greatest of all time.

I loved the title of this post, did a Google search of “GOAT” and still didn’t understand the reference, then read to the end of the post. Duh. I learned something!
Being newer to social media myself, I identified with this entire post and approach Facebook and Twitter the same way: hoping it makes me laugh. There’s a lot to be said for recognizing that not everything online is legit, so sometimes it’s worth it to step back and take it with a grain of salt and a smile. I could read another HuffPost piece about the royal family or an explanation of quack science that one of my “friends” posted on Facebook…
…or I could watch this video that popped up on my feed: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OMeIMC_s0GQ
I think the choice is clear.
